The Timeline of Adjustment

• First 3 Days: Expect them to feel overwhelmed. They may not eat, might hide, or could be overly reactive. Keep their environment calm and quiet.
• First 3 Weeks: They will start to learn your routine, figure out where to potty, and begin to show their true personality. Boundaries might be tested as they feel more comfortable.
